In synchrony with the wind and the waves, the reedbed makes the movement of the wetlands clear, almost a shiver that shakes this land of frontier and transition.
Phragmites and Scirpus conceive, nourish, protect and endow innumerable forms of life. From the reeds spread wings, songs vibrate, and eggs hatch.
The same protection is also sought by humankind who used to use the reeds to build casoni, the local wetand dwellings and to obtain litter for cow-barns.
The reeds filter, soothe and care for emotions and suggestions. It does not shout or show off but suggests at and hints. A river and a lagoon without a reedbed are like a emotion without vibrations.
